A FINE SUNDAY – early frosts for most of the region
Good morning. It’s a clear and cool start to the day, with light frosts about sheltered areas. Fairlie is our coldest spot at 5:50am, on -1.4 degrees. Our ridge of high pressure continues to influence our weather today, bringing fine and stable weather across the region.
We may see a few areas of cloud about the Main Divide and Canterbury Headwaters. Winds will remain light, tending nor-east about the coast and freshening a little about Pegasus Bay and Christchurch, before easing in the evening. Temperatures push into the mid to high teens, with a few spots challenging 19 degrees around 2-3pm inland.
